Washington College vs Salisbury is an instant classic, even if it’s a blowout. When we get a tight game, it’s another big step up. When we see an upset in a one goal game? Perfection.
#12 WAC took this year’s version of the War on the Shore, 7-6, and that means the Shoremen take the Charles B. Clark for the first time since the Cup’s institution in 2004. This is WAC’s first win over Salisbury since 2002, and is their first Home win over the Gulls since 1990. That’s a 22 year drought. Nice to break it!
Hunter Nowicki got the game winner for WAC with a minute left in the game, and then WAC held on to the ball on the next possession to hold on for the win.
WAC is now 11-2, while Salisbury falls to 13-4.
